About Kalimna Ministries Inc

Kalimna Ministries, Inc. was incorporated in Houston, Texas in 2009 by Rev. Dr. Gary S. Hooper and Wendy Hooper.

In 1998 Dr Gary and Wendy Hooper founded Restoration International Ministries, Inc. in Queensland, Australia. Through the leading of the Lord, the Hooper's moved to the United States of America in March 2002 and incorporated Restoration International Ministries in Indiana.

In the 11 years that Restoration International Ministries was operating we developed working relationships with churches and ministries in the USA, Australia, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and the Philippines. Kalimna Ministries Inc is honored to continue with these relationships. Even though Kalimna Ministries doesn't have the word "International" in it's name we are still a world-wide ministry.

On August 29 2005 Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf coast. Dr Gary and Wendy Hooper received a phone call on Tuesday 30th August requesting that they come to Houston, Texas to assist with the disaster.

Gary & Wendy were directly involved in assisting victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita both in New Orleans and Houston, Texas. They joined with partner ministries and others to deliver over $25M in aid.

In January 2007 the Hooper's returned home to Australia to visit their children and grandchildren. Whilst at a ministers conference in Rockhampton Queensland, where again the Lord spoke to Gary showing him the direction the ministry was to take.  Gary and Wendy discussed all that God showed Gary and they prayed for direction. In April 2009 they returned to Houston and set up Kalimna Ministries Inc in Houston Texas as a 501(c)3.

Kalimna Ministries Inc has a new board of directors and a new vision. Our board consists of Godly men & women who have the strength and heart to do the work that God has placed on this ministry.

Kalimna Ministries Inc is continuing what Restoration began, and is carrying on with the great work and reputation that Restoration had in helping those that others have forgotten or neglected. We have helped ‘at risk’ teens, the homeless, and disaster victims, as well as everyday Christians and non Christians.

Rev Dr Gary S Hooper

Gary S Hooper is a native Australian. Gary spent most of his life in rural Australia. Gary is a husband, father and grandfather. He has been a farmer, small business owner, freelance journalist, computer technician,evangelist, bible teacher, pastor, counsellor and international speaker.

Rev. Dr. Gary S. Hooper accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord in May 1985 after spending nine years in sorcery. From 1982-1985, Gary was considered one of the most powerful sorcerers in Australia. He came to the Lord after an encounter with God on a lonely beach at Yeppoon, Queensland which left him knowing, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that God was real and that Jesus Christ is Lord. Five months after he accepted Jesus Christ, Gary was asked to become a scripture teacher in three local high schools which he did for four years. This gave him a unique aspect of ministry as well as requiring him to study the bible in depth. By 1991 Gary had read the bible from cover to cover over thirty times and found that he had a gift for teaching. Therefore, because of his past, Gary is considered a leading authority on the dangers of the occult and had even warned the church in Australia about the coming New Age Movement. He has been, and still is asked to teach on the dangers of the occult to groups such as local youth groups, Scripture Union, YWAM, Teen Challenge Australia, Baptist Youth and the FGBMFI.

In 1990 Gary was asked by the Albury/Wodonga chapter of the FGBMFI to teach Christians how to engage in biblical Spiritual Warfare.  While Gary was living at The Rock in NSW he travelled throughout southern N.S.W and northern Victoria teaching Christians about their God-given authority. He has written and had published "Spiritual Warfare; Win or Lose You Choose!" in 2007.

Gary and Wendy have 8 children and 5 grandchildren.

In 2001 Gary was awarded three honorary degrees recognising sixteen years of ministry. Gary has since earned his Bachelor of Science Counselling, Master of Science Theology, Master of Science Counselling, and Doctor of Divinity degrees. He also has certificates in Beef Husbandry, Computers, shearing, and shed hand.

Gary and Wendy live in Houston Texas and call America Home. Gary is a sought after speaker throughout the world; he is known for his prophetic insight, plain speech and heart for souls. 
 
Vice President:
Mr Robert L Richter

Robert Richter is a native Houstonian and lifetime businessman. He is a Master Chaplain certified by Faith Based Counselor Training Institute.

Robert was awarded the Jonathon Award in 2006 in appreciation of the highest level of faithfulness and service to the Body of Christ. He is a licensed United States Coast Guard Captain, NIMS certified 100 through 700, CERT certified, serves as the Atascosita Emergency Management Planning chief and is past Chaplain of the Atascosita Volunteer Fire Department.

Robert is currently involved in the organization and establishment of a church in Covington, GA.

Robert is married to Penni.

Wendy Hooper

Wendy came to the Lord in 1991. Wendy is a wife, mother and grandmother. She has been a small business owner, counsellor, women’s conference speaker and accountant.

Wendy has a Bachelor of Science Counseling degree as well as certificates in Accounting, beauty Therapy and Nail care. Gary says that “Wendy balances me out; she is my voice of reason when I get too carried away.”

She says since being married to Gary she “has never had a dull moment.” She has a servant’s heart and desires to see women walking in their gifting and callings. Wendy desires to see all women come to a knowledge of who Jesus is and what He did for them.

Wendy has a desire to provide a safe haven for abused & battered women. She also wants to setup a home for pregnant teens, teaching them skills that will help them earn an income once they leave the ministry site.

Director:
Dr Glenn B Burt III M.D

Glenn B. Burt III, MD is a board certified Family Practice specialist. He attended the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio medical school. Interning in Milwaukee, Dr. Burt then entered the US Army as a General Practitioner, where he was the officer-in-charge of two Troop Medical Clinics for four years. He and his family stayed in Lawton, Oklahoma, after the Army, where he was an acute care and emergency room physician for seven years. He was also in private practice.

Dr. Burt began to feel the calling to move to Wisconsin in 1994. He had to become a specialist in Family Medicine first. He was the first regular graduate of a new program in Lawton. Moving to Wausau in 2002, he initially worked for a community-based clinic. July 2004 saw God lead the practice back in the direction of independence. Glenn and Judy opened Christian Family Practice Medical Clinic, in March of 2005.

Glenn is a mighty man of God who inspires and challanges Gary. A born again Christian, Glenn has been involved in ministry for the past 22 years. He and his wife, Judy, were team leaders in children's ministry for many years. They have taught classes on finances together, and been on medical mission trips to Mexico. His wife and daughter were part of a mission team that went to India and England. He is currently involved with the Men's Ministry at "Living Well Faith Community", a Four Square Church in Wausau.
